Experience before abstraction
From hands-on hospital work
to healthcare leadership.
Frank began his healthcare career as a surgery orderly, nursing assistant, and cardiac-unit EKG technician. Those early roles gave him a direct view of the work behind patient care and the importance of dependable coordination.
His career expanded into hospital operations, physician practice management, and consulting. For more than a decade, his work has focused especially on anesthesia and perioperative operations.
He has managed eight anesthesia groups serving ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals ranging from 107 to 527 beds. That work spans contracting, coverage and cost analysis, CRNA model transitions, compensation, governance, and hospital-physician alignment.
His broader practice-management experience includes five years leading an OB/GYN practice. Across engagements, his focus is on understanding the financial and operational situation and making improvement practical for the people involved.

Frank has been a recurring speaker at the Advanced Institute for Anesthesia Billing and Practice Management and MGMA’s Medical Practice Excellence conferences.

BHMI remains a consulting practice. It is also the home for the development of DrapeSide, Surgemetry, and Senvanta, three distinct projects informed by recurring operating and coordination questions.
