Frank F. Brabec is a healthcare executive and consultant with more than 30 years of management and consulting experience across hospitals, physician practices, and other healthcare organizations. His career began in hands-on hospital roles—including work as a surgery orderly, nursing assistant, and cardiac-unit EKG technician—giving him a practical understanding of both clinical and administrative operations. For more than a decade, his work has focused especially on anesthesia and perioperative operations. He has managed eight anesthesia groups serving ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals ranging from 107 to 527 beds, with expertise spanning anesthesia contracting and management, coverage and cost analyses, CRNA model transitions, fair market value studies, governance, and hospital-physician alignment. His broader medical practice management experience includes five years leading an OB/GYN practice, where changes he implemented increased profitability by 44% in the first year. Across engagements, Frank helps clients strengthen financial and volume analysis, operational efficiency, leadership, revenue cycle, strategic planning, physician compensation, and governance. A Medical Group Management Association Certified Medical Practice Executive since 2009, Frank became an MGMA Fellow in 2024 and also completed the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Hospital CEO Certification Program. He is a recurring speaker at the Advanced Institute for Anesthesia Billing and Practice Management and MGMA’s Medical Practice Excellence conferences.
